Ghana Clouden and was born on June 1, 1961 to the late Horace Clouden II and Estelle Clouden. He gained his wings on January 23, 2021. Ghana was educated in the Philadelphia School System.
On August 8th, 1987 he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart Vanessa Clouden. He was a devoted husband and father to their four children Maisha, Ghana Jr, Alexis, and Tirik. He was a member of Smyrna Memorial Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA for over 40 years. He was ordained as a deacon at the age of 20 in 1982. He later became the Superintendent of the Deacon board, where he held his office with pride. He had an immense zeal for teaching Sunday School and spreading the gospel.
He started his career at UPS In 1988 as a package car driver, where he was later promoted to feeder truck driver. He was able to retire in 2020, after being with the company for 32 years. He was acknowledged on many occasions for his extreme professionalism and dependable nature.
He was extremely kind hearted, loving, and highly known for having a great sense of humor. He would go above and beyond to help others in need. He showed tremendous support to his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The relationship he had with his grandchildren was nothing short of remarkable. He would constantly say “ anything for Zendaya and Warren Jr”.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Vanessa, four children Maisha, Ghana Jr, Alexis, Tirik; A son-in-law, Warren, a daughter- in- law, Jazmin; siblings: Loretta, Horace III, Darlene, Bernadette, Tina; a brother-in-law George, two sisters- in- law, Gail, Debbie; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, precious grandchildren: Zendaya, Warren Jr, Julian, relatives and friends.
