Nathaniel Lightner was born May 13, 1967, educated in the Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Trenton and Amherst, public school systems. He was an exceptionally gifted student fluent in several languages and quickly advanced academically, athletically and musically. He graduated with honors from Amherst R. High school in Massachusetts, this is where he discovered his passion for the fine art of mixing vinyl as a DJ. He briefly attended Claremont College in California, and after an opportunity to study abroad he began a life-time career as an international DJ. In addition to his love of music. Gino enjoyed singing, dancing, photography, traveling, biking, skating, and playing tennis.
He became one of the original pioneers of the Dutch house music scene since its inception in 1988. Gino used his creative ability to infuse many genres of music to make hours of continuous music tracks that brought joy to everyone in attendance. Throughput his career he's had the opportunity to work with several producers New York and Europe including George Clintin, Bootsy Collins, Luis Vega, B. Cox and Foremost Poets. While living in Holland collaborated with many artist, producers , radio stations organizers and labels in addition to taking time to teach up and coming DJ's the art of vinyl mixing. He was known for his deep knowledge of dance music, enthusiasm, and exuberant personality. He was a great motivator, mentor, role model and friend.
