Jermel Whitfield

Jermel Whitfield was called home on April 2, 2021. Mel as he was loving known to his friends and family was born the third child to the late Ernest Adkins and Linda Whitfield in Philadelphia PA on August 22,1969.  Mel was educated in the Philadelphia Public School system. Mel was a jack of all trades and enjoyed working with his hands. Mel was the family and neighborhood comedian. He could make anyone laugh about anything. Mel was the life of the party at every party. Mel loved music and thought he was better than Michael Jackson himself.

Mel was united in holy matrimony to his wife Rhonda Burton- Whitfield on 10/11/13, who preceded him in death ( 10/9/20). Now they are forever together.
Mel leaves to forever cherish his memories; His mother; Linda Whitfield, 6 sisters; Virginia ( Darryl ) Erica, Linetta, Aiasha ( Frank) , Linda, Tishera : 11 brothers; Jackie, James ( preceded him in death), Eric , Jack, Jovon ( preceded in death) , Cory ( preceded In death), Marcus, Demitrius, Tay, Thadeus , Bruce , and loren, . 3 daughters; La’Vonda, Shavaghn and Deaja. 1 Son; Jermel Jr. 3 Grandchildren; Naylonni, Rashaad Jr and Nylisa.
