Paula Davenport

Paula Gwendolyn Faith Davenport passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Paula was born to the late Thomas Maynard Davenport and Vivian Powell, on December 26, 1945, in
Philadelphia, PA. She was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System and employed by the City
of Philadelphia where she retired from after 35 years of service. Paula was a generous friend, a loving and
devoted daughter and sister and a dedicated aunt to her nieces and nephews whom she adored. Paula was
very creative, her hobbies included oil painting, sewing and baking and she was especially talented at
cake decorating. She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Janice Washington and brother Thomas M.
Davenport. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted sister, Jeanne Davenport, beloved nephews and
nieces Freddy Washington, Demetria Hurnton (Demetrius), Paula-Jeanne Washington, Gary Washington,
Tomika Watson, her great and great-grand nephews and nieces and a host of relatives and friends.
